HELLO! My name is Lindsey Jayne Fulcher. I am 20 years old and will be a junior at Averett University in Danville, VA. I major in Communications with a concentration in Broadcasting and minor in Biomedical Sciences. I hope to one day be a News or Sports Broadcaster. While at school I attend Union Church and while at home in Yorktown, VA I attend Waters Edge Church, where I have volunteered with children for all four years I have attended the church. Although I’ve lived in Yorktown a couple years now, I was born in San Diego, CA and was raised in California most of my life!
I am very active on my college campus. I am a cheerleader and work as an ambassador, welcoming incoming or potential students and giving them tours of our campus. I am a leader for Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Teach It Forward and Week to engage. As part of Teach It Forward, myself and the team I have made to help me, spend our after class hours at Three Angels Church, tutoring kids from K-12. I also participate in an internship at Averett University’s Center for Community Engagement and Career Competitiveness.
I love taking part in all of the opportunities God has for us to do in this beautiful world. I love people, animals and adventures! I look forward to spending these next few weeks with you and cannot wait to meet you all! We are going to have a wonderful summer!!
