Help serve as a mentor in a new Financial Education Class for Refugees

Want to learn more about financial education?  There will be a financial education class intended for adults from Burma.  The class starts Wednesday, January 30th at 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm and will meet once a week until March 13th.  The class will cover basic and complex financial topics such as money, budgeting, banking, bills, paying taxes, keeping records, using credit and loans, and investing in assets and insurance.

Khan Naw will be interpreting the class into Burmese.  The cost per family is $10 total.  If you are interested in participating in the class or would like to help out, please contact spencer@tbcrichmond.org

Men’s clothing + volunteers needed.

The Tabernacle Clothes Closet distributes clothing and shoes to the homeless and to needy families.  This ministry cannot be done without your help.  We always need clothing, and our men’s inventory is extremely low.  As the cold weather approaches, we want to have warm clothing available for our patrons.

We greatly appreciate all you have done for this vital ministry and hope we can count on your continued support.  How you can help:  (1)  Clean out your closet and donate clothing; and (2) come volunteer every Thursday from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m.
