Music

The music ministry at Tabernacle Baptist Church is very active and its Choirs, Soloists, & Ensembles participate in the worship services and presents several concerts and programs throughout the year. Our Sanctuary Choir sings various styles of music from classical to contemporary. We meet for rehearsals on Wednesday nights from 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM in the Music Suite. Please come and join us!

The Sanctuary Choir, The Chancel Bell Choir, The Women’s Choir, Women’s Ensemble, The Vocal Ensemble, Children’s Bell and Vocal Choirs

We are also very fortunate to have several   instrumentalists in our music ministry that perform with the Sanctuary Choir, Bell Choir and as soloist. Piano and voice lessons are available by independent arrangement with Staff members.

Other Activities of the Music Program

Music Week at Eagle Eyrie

Children grades 4-7 are invited to attend Music Week at Eagle Eyrie Camp in Lynchburg in July. Camp involves much singing, handbell ringing and creative arts.

Christmas In The Fan

The Richmond Concert Band, under the direction of Dr. Mark Poland, holds its rehearsals at our church and another highlight of the holiday season is the joint concert presented by the Band and the TBC Choirs. You are invited to join us in December and enjoy an afternoon of good music and fun! Following the concert is a reception in the fellowship hall.

Bruton Parish Concert in Historic Colonial Williamsburg

The Choirs have the wonderful opportunity to perform during the Christmas Season at Bruton Parish in Williamsburg, Virginia. The Sanctuary Choir, Chancel Bells, Vocal Ensemble, and soloists present a concert in this beautiful, historic church. The choir enjoys a full house and it is one of the highlights of the year. Community Outreach

We are very fortunate to host several outside performing organizations. We are delighted to be able to support the arts in our community by hosting various musical ensembles and theater companies for their rehearsals.
